The LTTA Biobank engages with the public at Researchers’ Night 2026: science, the local area and the community

On 25 September 2026, the LTTA Biobank took part in Researchers’ Night, sharing its expertise and activities with the public in an event dedicated to engagement and dialogue.

This participation provided a valuable opportunity to highlight the importance of a scientific resource that contributes to the advancement of biomedical research and the generation of new knowledge for the benefit of human health. Through the collection, storage and use of biological samples, the LTTA Biobank provides the scientific community with an essential resource for investigating disease, deepening our understanding of health challenges and supporting the development of new research approaches.

In a city such as Ferrara, characterised by scientific excellence, advanced research facilities and a strong commitment to biomedical innovation, the LTTA Biobank represents an important research infrastructure within the Department of Translational Medicine, supporting scientific research and fostering collaboration among professionals, institutions and the wider scientific community, including across the Romagna region.

Raising public awareness of this infrastructure and helping people understand its role also means recognising its strategic contribution to the scientific and innovation potential of the Ferrara Technology Park and its value to the local community.
